Badgerhunt, cutesy emo band from St. Charles, has been making a mark in the St. Louis area. A three piece, comprised of Jack Middeke, Ricky Sampson, and Jesse Bader, the group gathers inspiration from what sounds like to me, Algernon Cadwallader, Cap'n Jazz, and American Football. With all the normal plink-plink, tap-tappy parts in math rock, they bring something different to the table with a melodic approach, mixed with crooning vocals and a consistent, but true to math rock rhythm section. With fresh tunes coming out September 17th, Badgerhunt is a force to be reckoned with.
Their next performance is September 3rd at LNAC and the following show will be September 17th, where they release their upcoming CD.
